Applicants seeking admission to the B.D. courses need to appear for an entrance examination in Scripture Knowledge, General Knowledge, and Proficiency in the English language. Entrance examination is conducted before 20th May 2010 for all those who are interested in registering in B.D. programme at CIT.
Candidates with a B. A. / B. Sc. / B. Com. / or higher degree from a recognized University or equivalent qualification or B. Th degree with second class or above of Serampore college or an equivalent qualification are qualified for the admission to the course leading in to the B.D. Degree in Theology.
During the screening process, the applicants are expected:
--- To satisfy the college admission Committee in a personal interview
--- To submit a satisfactory written statement about his commitment and his motivation for theological studies.
--- To pass college entrance examination in Scripture Knowledge, General Knowledge and English Language.
The following documents are required for admission process.
--- Application form fully completed, signed, and with 5 cm x5 cm (2 in.x2 in.) photo attached
--- Photocopies of previous education certificates and mark sheets
--- A page about your Christian experience
--- Two Reference Letters
--- Medical Certificate from authorized Doctor.
Provisional admission will be given to the candidate on the basis of verification of certificates as well as on the basis of the out come of the entrance examination.
On the day of admission students are expected to submit the original certificates and mark sheet of previous education.

The following guidelines apply to the academic life of every student:
CIT affirms that men and women are suited for Christian service by their personal holiness, spiritual giftedness, academic competence and ministry skills. This means that personal qualities are as important as the acquisition of knowledge and ministerial skills.
CIT provides scholarships up to 80% of their total fees. Students in need of financial assistance for their studies can apply for their scholarships. Scholarships will be made available to students also on the basis of their academic and all round performance.
